The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Prawn Mee. Customers rave about its rich, flavorful broth that serves as a power house of flavors, elevating each bowl to an unforgettable experience. With rave reviews pouring in from dedicated patrons, many claim it’s among the best in Kuala Lumpur. For example, one satisfied customer, Indra S., calls it “probably the best Prawn Mee Soup in the world,” affirming its reputation through decades of loyalty.

In addition to its famed prawn noodles, the restaurant has diversified its offerings. You can now enjoy dishes such as Fish Ball Soup, Pork Rolls, and even a selection of Nyonya specialties, all crafted with the same attention to detail and flavor that the Prawn Mee is known for. Others have shared their delight in discovering new favorites alongside classic choices, like the tender Pork Ribs that complement the rich broth of the noodles.

What truly sets Choon Prawn Mee House apart is its dedication to quality and customer experience. Patrons frequently note the swift service and friendly atmosphere, making each visit a joy. Has to be the best prawn noodles in PJ and one of the best in Kuala Lumpur. Been a fan for more than a decade since they were just operating a stall. The stock he uses is just a power house of flavors.

I have been a fan of their Prawn Noodle Soup since almost a decade back when the owner of this restaurant is still operating at the hawker stall restaurant that is located at the corner lot (same row). I guess after being so well received by the mass market, the owner, Mr Kang decided to open up his own restaurant in efforts to grow his business. Ever since they have established their own restaurant, in order to better serve their loyal customers they have been offering a wider range of meals such as Fish Ball soup, pork rolls and etc. That being said they are still focused in offering quality Prawn Noodles. This restaurant is usually crowded with customers during lunch hours, most of the customers would order their famous prawn noodles (9 out of 10 customers). I personally feel it is very comfortable to have lunch here at their new restaurant as compared to previously while they're still operating at the hawker stall restaurant at the corner shop (it is really hot and stuffy there). I really hope that they can continue to deliver good quality prawn noodles and a high level of customer service. I am definitely coming back for more Prawn Noodles next time. Cheers!

This prawn mee used to operate in a stall at the corner coffee shop of this same row of shop. They are famous for their Penang prawn mee and lor mee. Ever since they operate in the corner coffee shop, they are very well known for their prawn mee. Most people go to that coffee shop just for this prawn mee. Back then, they only sells prawn noodles and lor mee. Now they have a shop of their own they serve so many other food such as prawn mee and lor mee with additional ingredients (pork intestines, pork ribs, squid and etc.), lor bak set, Nyonya curry fish ball, chu cheong fan, fish ball noodles, pork intestines and even tong shui. To my surprise, this shop offers free wifi as well. Though they have so many choices now, I'm still gonna stick to my usual prawn bihun mee. They are so famous that they are recommended by one of the Malaysian TV show, Ho Chiak by 8 TV.

Just when I thought the only delicious prawn mee is in SS2, my brother proved me wrong. He brought me to Choon Prawn Mee House in Seapark, and he guaranteed it's going to be better than Lim Mee Yoke. Apparently, Choon Prawn Mee was operating in O&S Kopitiam before decided to move out and open their own shop. You can have your prawn mee with the usual ingredients or with additional ingredients such as intestines, pork ribs and many more. I had the Prawn Mee with Pork Ribs. THe broth was very flavourful, and felt it's slightly better than Lim Mee Yoke. I was expecting the ribs to be dry, but it turned out to be tender. I totally like it a lot. Overall, Choon Prawn Mee House is a very good alternative if you want to have a change or some extra in your noodles. I would recommend this place, but just be really patience when you are trying to look for a parking space. I would suggest to park at the carpark near Giant, if you don'd mind to do a little walking.
